		<description>It&#039;s amazing how a spin can make a difference. I wonder: will they have a choice between English and math? I will say, though, that Texas has traditionally had very strong music programs (esp. the bands!), which bodes well for the future of fine arts in that state.</description>

		<description>Sadly, fine arts credits may no longer be required in Texas public schools.  This is to give the students &quot;more choices&quot; ... which, to many of my friends who are music educators in the state, is literally a biggest fear coming true.  I hope you&#039;re right and that class sizes don&#039;t drop and budgets don&#039;t get cut!  Thanks for the encouraging blog!  I needed that.</description>
